Digital Meter T1 For Tesla QA
Q1: How to install and will it affect the vehicle warranty?
A: D-Meter T1 uses a dedicated Tesla communication connector. It is truly plug-and-play, requires no additional power supply or wire modification, and will not affect the vehicle warranty.
- Model 3: The connector is located behind the center armrest
- Model Y: The connector is located under the center console
Remove the trim panel to find the original blue connector, carefully unplug it, and insert the adapter cable.
Q2: Is my Tesla compatible?
A: D-Meter T1 is compatible with Tesla Model 3 (2017–2023) and Model Y (2020–2024). It is not supported on Model 3 Highland and Model Y Juniper versions.
Q3: How does the display power on?
A: When the driver enters the vehicle and presses the brake pedal, D-Meter T1 will power on and synchronize with the vehicle communication.
Q4: What data can be displayed?
A: It supports displaying vehicle speed, gear position, battery level, motor and battery coolant temperature, tire pressure, turn signals, and more. Actual data availability depends on the vehicle model year.
Q5: How many values can be displayed at once?
A: Each screen can display up to three main parameters:
1. Vehicle speed
2. Coolant temperature
3. Tire pressure
Q6: Why do warning flashes and beeps occur while driving?
A: This is the default overspeed alert set at 120 km/h. You can adjust the threshold in the settings menu or disable the function completely.
Q7: Why doesn’t the display turn off immediately after shutdown?
A: After shutting down, Tesla vehicles continue communication for several minutes. D-Meter T1 will turn off automatically once the system is fully powered down, no manual action is required.
Q8: Why does the speed reading disappear in standby mode?
A: This is the screen saver mode. The device enters a semi-sleep state, and the display will resume once vehicle activity is detected.
Q9: The screen is too bright or too dim, can it be adjusted?
A: The brightness is automatically adjusted according to the Tesla central display. Manual adjustment is also available in the settings menu.

A: Yes, the built-in RGB ambient light supports seven colors and adjustable brightness, which can be customized based on personal preference.
Q11: Are there restrictions on installation location?
A: The device can be installed in most areas inside the vehicle. The recommended location is the air vent for optimal visibility.
Q12: Do I need to unplug the connector after turning off the car?
A: No. The device will automatically power off with the vehicle and has no parasitic current issue.
