Auto Jaw Co., Ltd. was founded in 1999 in Changhua, Taiwan, with a long-standing focus on the research, design, and manufacturing of automotive electronic products, operating under its own brand, Shadow.
From product definition, electronic circuit and firmware development, mechanical design, and prototyping, to testing, validation, and mass production introduction, Auto Jaw has progressively built comprehensive in-house R&D capabilities. Through the Shadow brand's direct engagement with the market and end users, real-world installation experience and market feedback continuously flow back to the R&D team, serving as a vital foundation for product development and optimization.
In addition to its own brand products, Auto Jaw also provides automotive electronic product development, OEM/ODM, and related project collaboration services.
From Product Development to Building In-House R&D Capabilities
Auto Jaw's R&D capabilities were not established overnight, but rather built progressively through years of product development, manufacturing, and real-vehicle application experience.
Phase I: Product Exploration | 1999–
In its early years, the automotive electronic aftermarket was dominated by Japanese imports, with relatively high prices.
Auto Jaw began accumulating technical experience through product research, engineering analysis, and reverse engineering, aiming to develop automotive electronic products at more reasonable costs.
This phase established the early foundation in product manufacturing and engineering, while also helping the team gradually understand the practical demands of the automotive aftermarket.
Phase II: R&D Foundation | 2008–
As products and the market matured, Auto Jaw began expanding its internal R&D capabilities, progressively building hardware design and product development teams. Through various automotive parts and accessories project collaborations, the company gained broader technical application and product development experience.
This phase also marked Auto Jaw's evolution from a product manufacturer into an automotive electronics company with product definition, design, and R&D capabilities.
Phase III: In-House R&D and Technology Deepening | 2013–Present
Starting in 2013, Auto Jaw further expanded its R&D equipment and engineering team, progressively building in-house capabilities in electronic circuit design, firmware development, mechanical design, and automotive electronics integration.
As R&D experience continued to accumulate, products evolved from early single-function automotive electronics to multi-function digital displays, OBD II vehicle information displays, electronic throttle controllers, turbo boost controllers, and exhaust valve controllers.
In recent years, the company has further invested in factory electronic system integration for European high-end vehicles, including CAN Bus vehicle signal applications, factory electronic component control, and real-vehicle testing and compatibility development across different models.
The R&D direction has also gradually extended from individual product functions to deeper vehicle electronic system applications.
Today, Auto Jaw continues to reach global markets through the Shadow brand, bringing market demands and real-vehicle application experience back to the R&D team as essential references for product development and ongoing technology advancement.
