OBDII Digital Meter 2 PLUS QA
Q1: The display does not respond after the engine is started.
A: Please check whether your vehicle uses the OBDII CANBUS communication protocol and ensure the OBDII connector is securely plugged in.
Q2: The display does not turn on immediately after engine startup.
A: On some vehicles, ECU communication starts a few seconds after ignition. This is normal.
Q3: The display does not turn off immediately after engine shutdown.
A: Some ECUs continue communication for 1–3 minutes after engine shutdown. The device will power off once the system fully cuts power.
Q3: The display does not turn off immediately after engine shutdown.
A: Some ECUs continue communication for 1–3 minutes after engine shutdown. The device will power off once the system fully cuts power.
Q4: The screen shows “---”.
A: This indicates that the specific data is not supported or the ECU does not provide the corresponding PID. This is normal and not a malfunction.
Q5: The AFR (air-fuel ratio) display is abnormal or blank.
A: Please enter the AFR settings and check if any channel is receiving data. If not, the vehicle may not support AFR readings.
Note: Diesel vehicles do not provide AFR data.
Q6: Certain data (e.g., boost, exhaust temperature) is not displayed.
A: If the ECU does not support or expose the channel, or the sensor is not installed, the data will not be displayed.
Q7: The displayed mileage does not match the vehicle’s odometer. How to adjust it?
A: This product does not automatically sync mileage. Please set the initial value manually if needed. It can also be used as a trip meter.
Q8: The warning light flashes and buzzer sounds during normal driving.
A: A preset warning threshold was triggered. Please check the vehicle status. You may also customize the warning ranges as needed.
Q9: The display shuts down while the engine is still on.
A: Please make sure the OBDII connector is secure. If the issue persists, adjust the ACC setting to manual mode and control power based on voltage.
Q10: Can I clear trouble codes (DTCs)?
A: Yes, you can read and clear diagnostic trouble codes directly.
Recommended to perform while the ignition is in ON (engine running) mode.
Q11: What data can be displayed?
A: Available parameters may include:
Boost pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, exhaust temperature, intake air temperature, AFR, transmission oil temperature, engine oil temperature, mileage, RPM, and speed.
Actual data varies by vehicle ECU support.
Q12: How many values can be shown on one screen?
A: Up to two data parameters can be displayed simultaneously on each screen.
Q13: Is my car compatible? Will there be unsupported models?
A: Most vehicles from 2014 onward support basic functions. However, available data depends on the PIDs provided by your vehicle’s ECU.
Q14: Can I check which data will be available before purchasing?
A: Certain values like oil temp, transmission temp, and boost are only supported on specific models. We recommend testing the device on your vehicle directly.
Q15: How do I install and use the product?
A: No additional power supply is needed. Simply plug the device into the OBDII port to use.
Q16: Can I install two displays at the same time?
A: Yes, but you’ll need an OBDII splitter cable, and all connected devices must support CANBUS communication standards.
Q17: Is the display waterproof?
A: The display is not waterproof. However, since it is installed inside the vehicle, normal humidity should not affect it.
Q18: Do I need to unplug the OBDII connector after turning off the engine?
A: No. The display will shut down automatically when the vehicle is powered off. There is no risk of parasitic battery drain.
Q19: The speed displayed is inaccurate. What should I do?
A: Use the built-in percentage adjustment function to calibrate any difference between the vehicle’s speed and actual GPS speed.
Supported Models for Specific Data Channels
Engine Oil Temperature & Transmission Oil Temperature (Supported on Select Vehicles)
Engine oil temperature and transmission oil temperature are not standard OBD PID parameters. Additionally, some vehicles may not be equipped with the necessary factory sensors.
As a result, these values may not be available on all vehicles.
