Shadow has been developing piggyback tuning boxes for over a decade, having written custom tuning for hundreds of different powertrains. In response to the widespread adoption of turbocharged vehicles, Shadow is launching the newly developed I-BOOST 2, leveraging years of tuning experience. It focuses on optimizing throttle linearity and torque plateau tuning, further unlocking the potential of turbocharged cars.

To address the diverse powertrain landscape of this generation, I-BOOST 2 utilizes a next-gen digital CPU microprocessor. With faster computing speeds and smoother output, it perfectly adapts to vehicles equipped with VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo), 48V mild hybrid systems, HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles). The I-BOOST 2 aligns with stock ECU signal feedback, enhancing power and throttle response within safe limits, without triggering any fault lights.

Shadow has accumulated years of tuning experience using its own dyno testing and specializes in subtle power enhancements for stock vehicles, focusing on daily-driven cars using commercial fuel.

I-BOOST 2 optimizes signals through stock sensors and programmable software, allowing real-time adjustments to fuel delivery and ignition timing based on engine conditions. The tuning philosophy prioritizes torque plateauing and power linearity, ensuring early and sustained power delivery without pushing the limits.

The I-BOOST 2 features a miniaturized main unit with an aluminum alloy casing and full waterproof treatment, paired with vehicle-specific waterproof wiring harnesses. It's plug-and-play, installing seamlessly with no need for wire cutting or data rewriting. This non-intrusive modification approach ensures that it doesn’t void the vehicle’s warranty, making it a reliable and consumer-friendly tuning solution.
